Jeff Young is a nationally recognized expert in medical fitness, strength and conditioning, and exercise prescription for individuals with chronic disease and musculoskeletal conditions. He is currently pursuing his doctorate (EdD) in Kinesiology and holds a master’s degree in Exercise & Sport Science. Jeff is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and certified through ACSM's Exercise is Medicine® program.

Jeff has served in key medical fitness and educational roles at several world-class institutions, including as medical fitness staff at Duke University, a medical fitness educator at UCLA and the Beth Israel Medical Centers, and the founding fitness coordinator and faculty practice provider at Mount Sinai Medical Center’s Center for Health and Healing—then the most comprehensive urban-based academic integrative medicine and medical fitness facility in the U.S.

He is a co-founder and CEO of the Medicine-Rehab-Fitness Institute and runs a medical fitness company based in Manhattan that provides and oversees post-rehab and chronic disease exercise services. He also teaches at CUNY York College in Jamaica, Queens, NY as an adjunct lecturer in strength & conditioning, sports medicine & rehabilitation, nutrition & health, exercise prescription for special populations, and weight training.

He is also a co-host of The Medical Fitness Podcast, and a continuing education provider for the NSCA and NASM. As a nationally sought-after speaker, Jeff has presented at nearly 50 medical, rehabilitation, and fitness conferences and over two dozen colleges, universities, and medical schools across the U.S. and internationally.
